This role is about building a culture where people go home safe—every day—without slowing execution through bureaucracy.

The mission (what you’ll actually do)

You will own Health, Safety, and Environmental leadership across construction and early operations. You’ll build systems, habits, and accountability that scale.

You will:

Create and enforce HSE program standards for all site activity.
Lead training, audits, incident response, and corrective-action systems.
Partner with construction leadership to integrate safety into planning—not after-the-fact.
Drive subcontractor compliance and safety performance metrics.
Build emergency response procedures and resilience drills for launch readiness.
Establish reporting that surfaces risk early, not after an incident.

Profile we’re looking for (non-negotiables)

10–20+ years HSE leadership on complex construction or industrial environments.
Proven ability to change culture, not just enforce rules.
Strong knowledge of OSHA and relevant environmental/safety regulations.
Calm authority + high standards + practical execution mindset.

What you’ll build in your first 90 days

A site-wide HSE framework: procedures, training cadence, audit rhythm, enforcement system.
A near-miss and incident system that leads to real improvement, fast.
A subcontractor safety gating process (who can work here and who can’t).
Emergency action plans and drills integrated into operations.
